Woven Seascapes
Major : Weaving
Water occupies a lot of our planet. A creation of Allah that exists in three states of matter. My thesis revolves around exploring different aspects of water. Water has an inherent serenity, regardless of what is going around it, it goes with the flow; starts and ends at sea.The whole process behind water managed by God, created interest within me. Water is a colorless element but adapts hues of natural elements that reflect on it.Furthermore, wind creates movement within it. My idea was to translate these hues and movements into the weaves. For that purpose, I chose different views of seascapes consisting of aerial, underwater, and eye-level, to explore deeply the movement and the colors of water.
